Bangalore: Six-year-old Raped, Murdered at Construction Site

Bangalore, Feb 11 (PTI): The body of a six year-old girl, who was allegedly raped and then smothered to death, has been found in an under-construction building near here, police said today.

The girl, daughter of daily-wagers, hailed from Siruguppa taluk in Bellary.

Police said the parents had left the girl alone to look after her two-year-old brother but when they returned they found her missing and lodged a complaint.

The girl's body was found in the building under construction last night, police said, adding, a medical report indicated that she was raped before being smothered.

    Agree with Mr. Ragav, Bangalore. Since movies are the common form of entertainment for the masses, films depicting rape, the victims dying in mysterious circumstances or committing suicide and the culprits going scott free must be strictly discouraged by the censor boards. On the political side, stringent maximum punishments must be imposed on criminals committing rape and murder. Trials for such crimes must be held in public in fast track courts. There should be public awareness about the consequences of committing such heinous crimes.

    Whoever did this crime should be punished to the maximum extent. To rape a six year girl is disgusting and that person is not a human being or he must be born to some animal. I pray for the departed soul of the girl and rest in peace. I console the family of the bereaved ones as these folks come from different places to make a living and they have to go through this. Policemen do catch the culprits and parade them through the places where they raped this child and give them a solid beating.

    I sincerley appeal to the police department to search for this criminals and hand over to public.. Our law will ask for evidence to punish this culprits and the leaders will be busy searching for the video clip of this incident to watch it in the vidhana soudha..

    Just few days fast about pron movie just see the result of this reaching to wrong hands. that means all females younger and older are not safe in Karnatakka and INDIA

    My opinion is to hang such type people who have commited this type of crime

    Karnataka needs to change some policies in adult entertainment. I understand we have our own culture but all the recent happenings proved that sex has superseded our so called "culture". Leaders it is right time to reconsider few things which will obviously improve the economy and reduced these types of crimes.
