New Delhi, Oct 7: With the Bihar Assembly elections officially announced, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday exuded confidence about returning to power in the state, asserting that the people of Bihar will once again place their trust in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
BJP MP Praveen Khandelwal described the election mood as one of “joy and optimism,” attributing it to the NDA’s development record. “From roads, electricity, and water supply to infrastructure and industry, we’ve transformed Bihar. Patna now has a metro, a new cricket stadium has been built, and we’ve increased pensions from Rs 400 to Rs 1,100. More than one crore women received Rs 10,000 each directly in their accounts,” he said, adding that Rs 14 lac crore has been pumped into Bihar’s development under Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past 11 years.

Echoing the sentiment, senior BJP leader Syed Shahnawaz Hussain claimed a “wave of happiness” across the state and praised the NDA’s work on infrastructure and women empowerment. “Only NDA can deliver good governance. The people of Bihar are aware of this,” he said.
Tarun Chugh, BJP’s National General Secretary, took a sharper tone, claiming that “dynastic and corrupt forces” would be defeated in Bihar. He reaffirmed the alliance between Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, calling them “defenders of democracy” and pledging a faster development trajectory. Chugh also highlighted schemes worth Rs 62,000 crore announced for youth employment, framing the NDA as the engine of Bihar’s push towards self-employment and long-term growth.
The Election Commission of India has scheduled the Bihar Assembly elections in two phases on November 6 and 11, with results to be declared on November 14. As the campaign season heats up, the BJP is clearly banking on its development narrative and welfare initiatives to counter the opposition and secure another term in one of India’s most politically crucial states.
