Sara Khan marries Krish Pathak, shuts down trolls over interfaith wedding

Mumbai, Oct 10: Sara Khan, famed for her roles in Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai and Preet Se Bandhi Ye Dori Ram Milaayi Jodi, recently tied the knot with Krish Pathak in a court ceremony, sparking reactions on social media due to their interfaith marriage.

After announcing her marriage on Instagram, Sara faced trolling over the cultural differences. She responded with a heartfelt video message addressing love, faith, and respect for all religions.

“Krish and I belong to different cultures, but both our religions teach love. Our families taught us to respect others first and not to hurt anyone. We also think alike… Thank you to all the positive well-wishers for your immense love,” she said.

Sara emphasized that social media approval is unnecessary, as their families and the law have already sanctioned the marriage. “Any relation with my God is mine, completely mine. No one has any right to comment between me and my God. No religion teaches you to say bad words or interfere in someone's life,” she stated firmly.

She further revealed plans for a Nikah ceremony and a traditional Pahadi wedding with proper pheras in December. Sharing the video, Sara captioned it: "Thank you, everyone, and love, love and only love to you all." Reacting to the post, Krish Pathak shared lyrics from Shah Rukh Khan’s song Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

In her Instagram announcement, Sara wrote: "Two faiths. One script. Infinite love. The signatures are sealed. From Qubool Hai se Saat Phere, the vows await this December. Two hearts, two cultures, one forever. Our love story is crafting a union where faiths blend, not divide. Because when love is the headline, everything else becomes a beautiful subplot."

Sara Khan was previously married to actor Ali Merchant during Bigg Boss 4 in 2010; the couple separated in 2011. Krish Pathak is the son of Sunil Lahri, famed for portraying Lakshman in Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan, and began his acting career in 2016 with P.O.W. - Bandi Yuddh Ke.

The couple’s union is now celebrated as a blend of cultures and faiths, with Sara’s message highlighting love, respect, and harmony above all else.
