Mangaluru, Oct 16: Raahul Vasishta, a passionate film editor who entered the industry nine years ago, is now set to realise his long-cherished dream of becoming a director. After nearly a decade of acclaimed work behind the scenes, Vasishta is stepping into the spotlight as he prepares to helm a full-fledged Tulu movie under the DC Ventures banner.

This directorial debut marks a significant milestone in Raahul’s cinematic journey. Known for his exceptional editing skills, Vasishta has worked on several successful Coastal wood films including Girgit, Circus, Gamjaal, and Golmal, and was part of the editing team in popular Kannada movies like Gurudev Hoysala and Badava Rascal.

Vasishta has already taken his first steps toward directing with a short film, laying the foundation for his future in filmmaking. Speaking about his new venture, he shared that the star cast and crew of the upcoming Tulu film will be announced soon.

Raahul’s work has not only been appreciated by audiences but has also caught the attention of Sandalwood star Daali Dhananjaya. The actor’s response to Vasishta’s editing in Don’t Look Back served as a major inspiration and strengthened Raahul’s aspiration to one day direct a film featuring him.

Currently, Raahul Vasishta is also busy with the post-production of the upcoming Tulu movie Jai, which is scheduled to release on November 14.
