Dubai, Oct 17: Dubai’s Nol Card, traditionally used for metro, tram, and bus rides, has now evolved into a comprehensive cashless payment solution. Residents can use it to pay for meals at cafes and restaurants, parking fees, and tickets to attractions, making it an all-in-one tool for navigating and enjoying the city.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced the expansion at GITEX Global 2025, partnering with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), parking operator Parkin, and PayPal. The upgraded card aims to simplify daily life and reduce reliance on cash.

The card now allows residents to settle dining bills, pay for parking via Parkin, and purchase tickets for major attractions. A dedicated student card in collaboration with KHDA streamlines commuting for students.
The Nol Card comes in several types. The Silver Card is ideal for everyday commuters, while the Gold Card offers VIP access to Gold Class cabins on the Metro and Tram. The Red Ticket is a paper option for occasional travelers, and the Blue Card is personalized with a photo and Emirates ID, offering balance protection and discounts for students and seniors.
Residents can apply for the Nol Card online via the RTA website or Nol Pay app using their UAE Pass, submitting a passport-sized photo and relevant identification. The card is delivered to the applicant’s address within a few days.
While the Nol Card is valid across Dubai’s transport, parking, dining, and attractions, it cannot be used outside the UAE. Tourists can obtain a Tourist Nol Travel Card valid for metro, buses, water transport, and select discounts for 90 days or 10 trips. Future integrations, including Etihad Rail, will expand its usability across other Emirates.
The upgraded Nol Card now offers a seamless, cashless experience for commuting, dining, parking, and entertainment across Dubai.
