Former US President Joe Biden completes radiation for aggressive prostate cancer

Philadelphia, Oct 21: Former US President Joe Biden, 82, has completed a course of radiation therapy for an aggressive form of prostate cancer diagnosed after he left office, a spokesperson confirmed Monday. Biden received treatment at Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology in Philadelphia, according to aide Kelly Scully.

Biden’s post-presidential office announced in May that the cancer had spread to his bones, following urinary symptoms. The cancer was graded Gleason 9, indicating a highly aggressive form.

Last month, Biden also underwent surgery to remove skin cancer lesions from his forehead.

Biden left office in January after ending his reelection bid following concerns about age, health, and mental fitness, with former President Donald Trump defeating Kamala Harris, Biden’s former vice president, in the election.
