Mumbai, Oct 22: Actor Pavitra Punia, known for her roles in popular TV shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi, announced her engagement on Wednesday. Sharing a series of pictures on Instagram, Pavitra captioned them, “Locked in love made it official. #pavitrapunia soon to be Mrs. ____ #NS”, revealing the joyful moment of her proposal on a beach.

The photos show her fiancé getting down on one knee with a ring, followed by the couple embracing after she accepted the proposal. True to her wishes, the images were captured in a way that keeps her fiancé’s face hidden from the public.

In a recent interview, Pavitra spoke about finding love again. She is engaged to a businessman from the USA and emphasized that he is not from the film industry. She described him as a kind and wonderful person and said, “We've been going steady for quite some time now, and it feels right.”

Pavitra also reflected on her past relationship with actor Eijaz Khan, her former fiancé and Bigg Boss 14 co-contestant. The couple dated for around three years before parting ways in 2023. She explained, “Our thoughts didn't align. Even after three years, you realise your thinking doesn't match. Why enter a relationship bound to have complications? It’s better to end it.”

For her upcoming Diwali celebrations, Pavitra plans to spend the festival with her new partner and his family abroad, embracing this new chapter while maintaining privacy around her fiancé’s identity.
