Tehran, Oct 31: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on Thursday strongly criticized the United States following President Donald Trump’s directive to resume nuclear weapons testing, calling the move “regressive and irresponsible.”
In a sharp post on social media, Araghchi accused Washington of hypocrisy, saying, “A nuclear-armed bully is resuming testing of atomic weapons. The same bully has been demonizing Iran’s peaceful nuclear program.”

He warned that the US decision poses a “serious threat to international peace and security,” and accused Washington of undermining decades of global non-proliferation efforts.
“The announcement of a resumption of nuclear tests marks a dangerous step backward and exposes the true face of those who claim to safeguard world peace,” Araghchi added.
The statement from Tehran comes amid heightened global concerns over renewed nuclear tensions, as the US decision signals a potential shift away from arms control commitments that have helped limit nuclear testing for decades.
