Mumbai, Nov 7: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday announced that a lottery will be conducted on November 11 to determine the reservation of wards for the upcoming civic body elections.
According to an official release, the draw will decide the reservation of wards for Scheduled Castes (women), Scheduled Tribes (women), Other Backward Classes (general and women), and women from the general category.

Mumbai has a total of 227 civic wards, and the elections are expected to be announced soon. The BMC said the lottery process will take place at the Bal Gandharva Rangmandir auditorium in Bandra (West).
As per the schedule, the draft reservation list will be published on November 14, following which citizens can submit their objections and suggestions till 3 pm on November 20. The final notification will be issued after reviewing all feedback received from the public.
The civic body has urged citizens to visit the official BMC website for detailed information and updates regarding the lottery and ward reservation process.
