From village to victory: How Vibhor Bhardwaj used AI to ace UPSC 2024

Daijiworld Media Network – Uttar Pradesh

Uttar Pradesh, Nov 11: Vibhor Bhardwaj, hailing from Utrawali village in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district, turned his dreams into reality by securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) 19 in the 2024 UPSC Civil Services Examination. His journey from a small village to the prestigious IAS cadre is a story of determination, discipline, and innovation.

A physics graduate from Delhi University’s Hansraj College, Vibhor completed his MSc before deciding to pursue the UPSC dream. With Physics as his optional subject, he efficiently completed the entire Mains syllabus within seven months through online resources and self-prepared notes.

Adopting a focused and strategic approach, Vibhor treated the UPSC Prelims like a ‘T20 match’, dedicating himself to daily current affairs, static subjects, and regular mock tests. His earlier attempts—AIR 743 in 2022 and an interview appearance in 2023—became learning milestones that helped him fine-tune his preparation.

One unique aspect of Vibhor’s journey was his use of artificial intelligence for interview preparation. By practising mock interviews using AI tools like Google Gemini, he received instant feedback, identified weaknesses, and gained the confidence needed to face the real panel.

After setbacks and near misses, Vibhor’s story is a powerful example of perseverance and adaptability. By embracing technology and learning from failure, he proved that with consistency and smart strategy, even the toughest exams can be conquered.
