Mumbai, Nov 14: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Ambadas Danve on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the BJP, alleging that the party is openly protecting Parth Pawar in the ongoing case. Danve further claimed that during a crucial meeting held at Varsha bungalow, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had expressed his willingness to resign from the government.
Speaking to mediapersons, Danve said, “During that meeting, Ajit Pawar clearly told the Chief Minister that he would resign and extend support to the government from outside. I am stating this with full responsibility. The truth will come out soon.”

Danve raised serious questions over the administration’s handling of the case. “A Tehsildar cannot dare to take such a step without someone’s influence. Sacrificing the Tehsildar to save Parth Pawar and other senior officials is wrong. A case must be filed against Parth Pawar,” he insisted.
He also questioned why no action was being initiated despite Parth Pawar being a director in the company concerned. “The BJP is dragging people into trouble and then rescuing them. Even when stamp duty is evaded, action is taken. Saying the transaction never happened and therefore duty is not applicable is misleading. As per rules, until the stamp duty is paid, the transaction does not stand cancelled,” Danve stated.
Demanding equal treatment before the law, Danve said, “Parth Pawar is not a child. He contested the Lok Sabha elections. He must be treated like any other citizen and, if required, like an offender.”
Danve reiterated that the BJP’s role in “creating trouble and then providing a way out” was evident in this entire controversy.
