Dubai, Nov 19: Vision Konkani (Michael D’Souza &Fly) has announced the mega premiere of ‘Bapache Puthache Navim’, the latest production by Daijiworld Films, marking its first-ever public screening in the UAE. The ticket launch event, held on November 17 at Winny’s Restaurant, Karama, witnessed an overwhelming response, with around 75 guests attending the ceremony.
The stage was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including Fr Henry Mascarenhas (parish priest, Ajekar), Joseph Mathias, James Mendonca, Lancy D’Souza, Walter Nandalike, and Dayan D’Souza.
A celebration of Konkani talent
During the event, Walter Nandalike shared valuable insights into the making of the film, its budget, the shooting journey, and the purpose behind the project. He extended heartfelt gratitude to the producer, Michael D’Souza, applauding his generosity, trust, and unwavering support throughout the filmmaking process.
James Mendonca also took the stage to speak about the movie and his personal experience associated with it. He expressed his admiration for the team’s hard work and appreciated the effort put into bringing a meaningful Konkani film to the community.
Directed by the highly acclaimed Stany Bela, ‘Bapache Puthache Navim’ stands as a remarkable showcase of cinematic excellence. Bela’s expertise shines through every frame from extracting powerful performances to crafting visually captivating scenes. His masterful control over pacing, tension, song placement, and storytelling ensures a film that is both engaging and uncompromised.
The cast features several UAE-based and well-known Konkani stage and screen talents, including Dayan D’Souza, Ron London, Walter Nandalike, Sweedal D’Souza, Joshal D’Souza, Mellu Valencia, Rita Fernandes, Sapna Saldanha, Sunita Menezes, Shanthi Priya Lasrado, Jancy Fernandes, Murel Bendur, Melwyn Kalakul, Babita Omzoor, Voilet D’Souza, John M Permannur, and Lucy D’Souza.
Their compelling performances add depth, emotion, and authenticity to the narrative.
