New Jersey teen charged with mother’s murder in Mays Landing

Washington, Nov 24: A 17-year-old boy in Mays Landing, New Jersey, has been charged with murder and related offenses after allegedly stabbing his mother, Julissa Serrano, 49, to death on Saturday.

Authorities reported that Serrano was found stabbed multiple times at her home. She was transported to a hospital but succumbed to her injuries. An autopsy is planned to determine the exact cause and manner of death.

The suspect, whose name is withheld under New Jersey law, is being held at the Harborfields Atlantic Youth Center pending his first court appearance.

Police have not disclosed a possible motive and are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crime Unit or visit their website.

The Hamilton Township Police Department has been contacted for comment.

    Very sad to hear this whether teen is a Indien National?Whatever it is nowadays attack on parents own homepeople has increased.Mostly they are with influence of drugs alcohol etc .Then when others say a word or wat to correct´they flipout.Or continues on online chatting too.Whatever it is may her soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathies to family.In USA it is not like India .They get hard punishment.
