Delisha D’Souza wins 2nd prize in AVOSA jubilee drawing competition, UAE

Dubai, Nov 27: Delisha D’souza, a 9-year-old grade 4 student at GEMS Our Own Indian School, Dubai, UAE, won 2nd prize in the junior category (9-11 years) of the prestigious AVOSA Jubilee 'Pilgrims of Hope' drawing competition. The competition was hosted by St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, commemorating the Jubilee Year 2025.

The award ceremony was held on November 23 at the church premises. Delisha competed with participants from Catholic churches across the UAE and was recognised for her remarkable creativity and vision. She was awarded a cash prize of AED 750 along with a memento.

Her winning entry focused on the theme, 'Holy places i want to visit on my faith journey'.

Delisha is the daughter of Maurice and Deena D’Souza and has a younger sister, Marisha D’Souza. This achievement is a proud moment for the family and the school community.
