Puttur, Nov 29: Based on a complaint filed by Dr Ramamohan, a case has been registered after a man allegedly created a ruckus, assaulted a staff member, and damaged property at an ENT clinic in Darbe, Puttur.
According to the complaint, while patients were waiting in queue for consultation at the ENT clinic, a person collecting parking fees outside entered the clinic and picked a quarrel, alleging that the staff had failed to send someone known to him inside earlier. Using this as an excuse, he created chaos, assaulted clinic staff member Srikant, caused damage to clinic furniture, threatened the patients waiting outside, and verbally abused them before leaving the spot.
During inquiry, the accused was identified as Ibrahim, a resident of Bappalige, Puttur. Based on the complaint, Puttur city police registered a case under Crime No. 116/2025, sections 329(3), 324(4), 115(2), 352, 351(2) of the BNS-2023, and Section 3(a) of the Karnataka Prohibition of Violence against Medical Service Personnel and Damage to Property in Medicare Service Institutions Act, 2009.
The accused has been taken into custody. Further investigation is underway and necessary legal action will follow.
