Mumbai: Kannada Bhavan Education Society Celebrates Golden Jubilee

Mumbai, Feb 20: Kannada Bhavan Education Society organized their golden jubilee celebrations at Karnataka Sangh Dr M Vishveshwarayya Memorial Auditorium, Matunga (West), on Sunday February 19.

Metro-based Lumen’s Group of Companies chairman Kutpady Chandra Shetty inaugurated the programme on Sunday.

In his inaugural address, Chandra Shetty said that he had migrated to the metro 30 years ago.  He said that he was privileged to inaugurate the golden jubilee celebrations of Kannada Bhavan Education Society. “Hundreds of alumni of institution are excelling in different spheres across the country and abroad. The educational institutions play a key role in shaping the better future of their students. Imparting education is the greatest charity on earth,” he added.

Kannada Bhavan Education Society chairman A B Shetty presided over the programme.

Hotelier N T Poojary, Ram Narayan Ail, Surendra Suvarna, and Purushottam Kotian were the guests of honour.

Homage was paid to Kannada Bhavan Education Society’s founders B K Bomman Behram and N D Kanchan. A B Shetty, in his presidential address, acknowledged the support of alumni in the humanitarian deeds of Kannada Bhavan Education Society.

Keshav K Kotian compered the programme. Honorary secretary Devdas L Kulal proposed the vote of thanks.

Variety entertainment programmes were staged by students on the occasion.

Ganesh Yeramal and group staged a Kannada musical concert attended by a large number of people.
