Mumbai: ‘Bhasha Bhavaikya Samavesh’ Begins at Mysore Association

Mumbai, Feb 20:  Under the joint aegis of Kannada Development Authority, Bangalore, and metro-based Mysore Association, Mumbai University department of Kannada organized the Bhasha Bhavaikya Samavesh, a two-day programme at Mysore Association auditorium, Matunga (West), on Sunday February 19.

Kannada Developkment Authority chairman Mukyamantri Chandru inaugurated the programme.

Renowned novelist Prof Vishnu Naik presided over the programme. Renowned poet Jayant Kaikini was the chief guest on the occasion.

Dharwad poet and playwright Dr Siddalinga Pattana Shetty, Mysore Association honorary chief secretary Y D Venkatesh, Mumbai University Kannada lecturer Dr K Raghunath, Samavesh convener and national award winning movie director B Suresh, S Muralidar, and Vishwanath Shetty Siddakatte were present on the dais.

Earlier, Kannada Bhuvaneshwari, Goddess of Karnataka, was brought to the venue in a procession by the folk artists in Matunga.
