Jammu, Dec 12: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that India is witnessing a cultural renaissance after a long time and called upon youngsters, writers and thinkers to lead the country to new heights like “visionary craftsmen”.
Speaking at the Shri Kailakh Sanskrit Ratna Award–2025 ceremony organised by the Shri Kailakh Jyotish and Vedic Sansthan Trust in Jammu, Sinha said that the young generation is the true inheritor of India’s eternal traditions, customs and spiritual heritage. He urged them to equip themselves with modern skills while also acting as protectors of the nation’s ancient culture. He added that youngsters must carry within them the scientific spirit of inquiry along with the divine wisdom of Adi Shankaracharya.

Calling Sanskrit the oldest living language with a complete knowledge system, the LG said the extensive works of ancient writers, thinkers, scientists and mathematicians hold immense value for intellectual and technological progress. He stressed that India’s civilisational wealth should guide contemporary development.
Sinha also placed five resolutions before enlightened citizens, urging collective action to build a more conscious and harmonious society. He called for integrating material and spiritual life, promoting social harmony, transforming the education system to develop personalities that combine saintliness with scientific temperament, establishing harmony with nature, and uniting against forces that attempt to create divisions within society.
He said every Indian must feel proud to be an inheritor of a rich and glorious civilisation and move steadily on the path of nation-building. He added that while shaping a united and developed India, the nation must stand firmly on the ideals, moral values and character set by its great leaders.
