Mumbai: Jitesh Poojary Bags Gold in 17th Int’l Asian Karate Championship

Mumbai, Feb 22: Jitesh U Poojary, Class VI student of Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Primary School, Vikhroli (East), bagged the gold in the 17th International Asian Karate Championship held at Priyadarshini Sports Complex, Mulund (West), recently.

Jitesh is a Tulu–Kannadiga and the son of Umesh and Amita Poojary, hailing from Tenkanidiyoor in Udupi district. They reside at Kannam Nagar, Vikhroli (East). He was trained by Karate instructor Lalit M Salian at Gozo Karate School, Vikhroli (East).
