Mumbai: Suresh Kanchan is New President of Mogaveer Mahajana Seva Sangh

Mumbai, Feb 22: Suresh R Kanchan, entrepreneur, social activist, and philanthropist, was unanimously elected new president of the metro-based Mogaveer Mahajana Seva Sangh, Bagwady Hobli, for a two-year term during the annual general body meeting held on Monday February 20.  The meeting was chaired by president Gopal S Putran.

Kanchan hails from Uppinakudru, a remote village in Udupi district. Uppinakudru is a tiny island surrounded by a rivulet and the Arabian Sea. It gained global prominence for puppetry that has earned several national and state awards. Suresh is the son of Rama and Sitamma R Kanchan.

Kanchan resides with his wife Yashadha, daughters Nivedita and Nikhita, and son Sanket at nearby Shivaji Park, Dadar (West).  He has bagged several awards for his social and religious services.
