Mexico, Dec 30: FIFA has announced that it has received over 150 million ticket requests for the upcoming 2026 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Mexico, Canada, and the United States. The unprecedented demand has already set a new World Cup ticketing record, even as the Random Selection Draw phase is only halfway through.

The ticketing phase, which opened on December 11, 2025, will continue until January 13, 2026, giving fans from around the world a chance to secure their spots for football’s biggest spectacle.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to kick off on June 11, 2026, and the grand finale will take place on July 19, 2026, across 16 host cities spanning the three nations. The tournament will feature 104 matches with a record 48 teams competing for football glory, promising an action-packed summer for football enthusiasts worldwide.

With such overwhelming interest, FIFA has urged fans to follow the official application process and await the Random Selection Draw results to know their ticket allocations.
