New Delhi, Dec 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday emphasized that the vision of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by 2047 has grown beyond government policy to become a genuine aspiration of the people. Speaking at NITI Aayog during an interaction with eminent economists and experts, he highlighted the need for strategic planning to meet the demands of an increasingly aspirational society.
PM Modi noted that shifts in education, consumption patterns, and global mobility reflect the evolving aspirations of citizens, necessitating stronger institutional capacity and proactive infrastructure development. He called for mission-mode reforms across multiple sectors to ensure sustained long-term growth and stressed that policymaking and budgeting should remain aligned with the 2047 vision.

Highlighting India’s role in the global economy, the Prime Minister underscored the importance of keeping the country a hub for international markets and the global workforce.
