Mumbai, Feb 23: Jayasrikrishna Parisara Premi Samiti (JSKPPS) organized a condolence meet for Karnataka state minister Dr V S Acharya at Nithyanand auditorium, Sion (West) on Tuesday February 21.
JSKPPS founder president Tonse Jayakrishna A Shetty garlanded the portrait of Dr Acharya and paid homage on Tuesday evening.
Bunts Sangh president chartered accountant Shankar B Shetty, Bombay Bunts Association president lawyer Ratnakar V Shetty, JSKPPS vice-presidents lawyer B Mohideen Mundkoor and Dharmapal U Devadiga, honorary chief secretary Nityanand D Kotian, honorary treasurer chartered accountant I R Shetty were present on the dais.
Jayakrishna Shetty in his condolence message, said that undivided Dakshina Kannada district has lost an enterprising minister who had always supported JSKPPS in the mission for the integral development of entire Karnataka.
“Dr Acharya was a rare politician as that of George Fernandes, crusader of equality in society,” he added.
Lawyer Mohideen Mundkoor urged the people to follow the ideals of Dr Acharya who strived for societal progress of Kannadigas.
Bunts Sangh president chartered accountant Shankar B Shetty said that Dr Acharya is an inspiration for the youth.
Bunts Association president lawyer Ratnakar V Shetty said that Karnataka has lost a veteran politician and a popular leader in Dr Acharya.
Dharmapal U Devadiga said that Dr Acharya was known for being a top notch politician and motivator for people and was fully-devoted to public service.
BSKB Association office-bearers Balachandra B Rao and Narayan Rao Sion, lawyer Sanjeev S Kanchan, P D Shetty, Surendra Kumar Hegde, G T Acharya, Kutpady Ramachandra M Ganiga, Vishwanath U Mada, Balakrishna P Bhandary, Shivaram Kotian Santa Cruz, Nitte Damodar Acharya, Papillion Raghu L Shetty, and lawyer Sadashiv K Shetty paid homage to Dr Acharya.
