Mumbai, Jan 9: Red Bull Four 2 Score is set to make a comeback with its fourth season, as the India qualifiers begin in Mumbai. The unique 4v4 football tournament is open to non-professional players and is played on a compact field without goalkeepers, promising fast-paced and high-energy action.

The national finals will be held in Coimbatore at the end of March, where the best teams from across the country will compete for the title. The winning side will earn the opportunity to represent India at the Red Bull Four 2 Score World Finals in Toronto, Canada, scheduled after the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In the previous season, Boom Boom Goa represented India at the World Finals in Salzburg and will begin its Season 4 journey from the Mumbai qualifiers this year.

The tournament follows a short-format structure, with matches played 4v4 for 10 minutes and no goalkeepers. City rounds will feature group and knockout stages, with the winning team from each city advancing to the national finals.

At the national finals in Coimbatore, 10 city champions will be divided into two groups of five. Each team will face the others in its group, with the top two from each group progressing to the knockout stage, followed by semifinals and the final. The champions will be crowned Red Bull Four 2 Score India winners and will book their place at the World Finals.

If a match ends in a draw after regulation time, the winner will be decided by a Golden Goal. In this format, one player from each team competes in a 1v1 situation, with the first goal sealing the result.

The tournament is open to players aged between 16 and 35 years who are residents of India. Teams can consist of up to five players, including one substitute, and participation is open to players of all genders.

The city qualifiers will be held across the country, starting with Mumbai on January 10 and 11 at WIFA. Other venues include Bengaluru, Jaipur, Goa, Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Kolkata, Pune and Kochi, with matches scheduled through early February.

With its fast format and nationwide reach, Red Bull Four 2 Score aims to provide grassroots footballers a pathway to compete on the global stage.
