Panaji, Jan 16: Central agencies on Friday carried out coordinated raids at multiple locations across Goa in connection with individuals linked to party circuits and tourism-related activities.
Teams from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) conducted searches at six locations, including the residence of a prominent Congress leader in Chapora. Raids were also carried out at other properties in Anjuna and Assagao.
Sources said NCB officials inspected several spots in Assagao as part of the operation, while ED teams simultaneously carried out searches at selected premises. The raids are currently underway.
Authorities have not yet disclosed details regarding the nature of the investigation or whether any arrests have been made. Further information is expected once the operation is completed.
