Tel Aviv, Jan 22: Modi’in resident and former KERNELIOS CEO, Itai Levy, has been found guilty of multiple sexual offenses against minors aged 4 to 12, the State Prosecutor’s Office and KAN News confirmed on Wednesday.

Levy pleaded guilty to four counts of statutory rape of a minor under 16, indecent acts on a minor under 16, and violation of privacy. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors have requested a ten-year prison sentence, an additional suspended sentence, and a fine of NIS 258,000.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, over an 18-month period, Levy secretly photographed and recorded children in various states of undress. The content was stored on his personal device for gratification before being deleted. Additional instances of non-consensual sexual activity with minors were also detailed in the official statement. Levy is scheduled to be formally sentenced on May 20, 2026.

In a separate incident earlier this month, a Haifa man was arrested for repeatedly raping his daughter over several years, starting when she was seven. Investigations revealed multiple assaults at different locations in the city. Authorities extended his detention pending formal indictment.

These cases highlight growing concerns about child safety and the urgent need for preventive measures and awareness campaigns in Israel.
