Newly elected BMC corporators seek blessings at Malad’s Shri Durga Parameshwari Temple

Mumbai, Jan 26: Fresh from their victory in the recent Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections, corporators Ankit Sunil Prabhu (Ward 54), Suhas Wadkar (Ward 41), and Yogita Prashant Kadam (Ward 37) paid a ceremonial visit to Shri Durga Parameshwari Temple in Kurar Village, Tanaazhinagar, Malad East.

The corporators were received by temple committee president Raghunath K Kottari and other office-bearers, who welcomed them to the shrine. At the temple, the elected representatives performed pooja and offered prayers to Shri Durga Parameshwari, seeking blessings for success in their civic duties. The temple’s chief priest, S Raghavendra Bhat, also distributed teertha prasadam to the visitors.

Addressing the corporators, president Raghunath K Kottari along with secretary Somappa B Kotiyan, treasurer Babu M Suvarna, and other committee members, said: “May the divine blessings guide you to serve society with integrity, strength, and effective leadership.” They congratulated the newly elected officials and wished them success in their journey as public servants.

The visit marked the first official public appearance of the corporators in Malad following their election, blending tradition with their commitment to civic responsibility.
