Porvorim, Jan 27: An attempted housebreaking incident was reported at a villa located in Socorro Zoswaddo, Porvorim, causing concern among local residents. Police, however, clarified that no valuables were stolen in the incident.

According to the Porvorim Police Inspector, the owner of the villa is currently in Mumbai and has not yet lodged a formal complaint. The matter came to light after neighbours noticed suspicious signs at the premises and alerted the authorities.

Police said preliminary verification indicated that it was an attempt to break into the house and not a case of theft. Further action will be taken after the villa owner returns and files a complaint, officials added.
