heLPy Livelihood holds AGBM, elects new office bearers

Dammam, Feb 6: The Annual General Body Meeting of heLPy Livelihood was held on January 29 at Red Pot Restaurant, Dammam – KSA.

The programme began with a brief introduction of heLPy by the master of ceremony, Br Riyaz, who highlighted the organization’s successful journey of social service over the past 14 years. The meeting commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Br Badruddin Kolnad, followed by a warm welcome address by outgoing vice president Br Mohidin Bawa.

Br Mansoor Manjeshwar presented the Annual Report for the year 2025 briefing the audience on heLPy’s activities and achievements during the year. He thanked general secretary Br Suneer Ahmed for the detailed report and his continuous support even though he is not in Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the heLPy team reflected on the organization’s success stories of 2025, led by Br Asif Jeppu. Major highlights included the heLPy Meet and Motivate Programme conducted in Mangalore for beneficiaries, the heLPy Trophy 2025 Cricket Tournament held in Jubail, and the memorable Family Fest-25 in Dammam, organized under the leadership of Br Usman Shareef.

Treasurer Br Mohammad Nizar prepared the financial statements for the year 2025, which was presented at the AGBM by Br A Khadar Shaheer. The accounts were reviewed and unanimously approved by the members present.

The outgoing president, Br Asif Jeppu, addressed the gathering and shared his personal experiences and emotions from visiting beneficiaries in the homeland. He expressed his sincere gratitude to Almighty Allah, as well as to the donors, office bearers, and all heLPy members for their unconditional support.

Br Ashraf Yousuf acted as the returning officer and formally dissolved the existing committee.

On this occasion, the new office bearers for the year 2026 were elected unopposed, as follows:

President – Abdul Khadar Shaheer
Vice president – Mohammad Asif
General secretary – Mohammad Riyaz
Joint secretary – Mohammad Thoufeeq
Advising secretary – Suneer Ahmed
Treasurer – Mohammad Nizar
Joint treasurers – Usman Shareef, Abdul Salam Shawaz
Education officer – Mansoor Manjeshwar
Events coordinator – Sunain Ahmed
Auditor – Sameer Ahmed
Feed the Needy supervisor – Mohidin Bawa
FTN assistant supervisor – Asif Mohiuddin

In addition, 20 coordinators were appointed to strengthen heLPy Livelihood’s activities in the coming years and will serve as members of the Working Committee for 2026.

The newly elected president, Br Abdul Khadar Shaheer, expressed his gratitude and stated that heLPy continues to extend its helping hand by identifying deserving families. He sought everyone’s cooperation to achieve the organization’s vision and to bring more beneficiaries under the umbrella of heLPy.

The new general secretary, Br Mohammad Riyaz, delivered the vote of thanks, urging all members to work together as one team to strengthen the organization with the intention of supporting destitute families.

The meeting was attended by several well-known personalities and heLPy members from Al Khobar, Dammam, and Jubail. The event concluded with Kaffara Majlis by Br Abdul Wadood from Hyderabad, followed by dinner served to all attendees.
