Doha, Feb 8: Mustafa Barghouti, secretary-general of the Palestinian National Initiative, on Saturday said the steadfastness of Palestinians in Gaza despite what he described as genocide reflects the failure of Israel.
Speaking at the Al Jazeera Forum, which is focused on geopolitical shifts in the Middle East, Barghouti said the continued resilience of the people of Gaza has exposed the limits of Israel’s military and political objectives.
He stressed that despite immense suffering and destruction, Palestinians have refused to surrender, sending a strong message to the world about their determination to defend their rights and existence.
Barghouti also underlined the need for greater international accountability and renewed global efforts to address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, saying the ongoing situation represents a critical test for international law and moral responsibility.
