Mumbai: Women’s Wing of Kannada Sangh Organizes Religious Programme

Mumbai, Feb 29:
The women’s wing of Kannada Sangh, Santa Cruz, organized ‘Kumkum’ religious programme at Mathuradas Colony community hall, Vakola, Santa Cruz (East), recently.
 
Kannada Sangh Santa Cruz president L V Amin, social committee president Sudha L Amin, Shashi N Kotian, Yashoda B Poonja, Billawar Association women’s wing president Jayanti Ullal, Srimati S Poojary, Sundari Bangera, Harinakshi J Shetty, Pratika Poojary, Sujata Ucchil, Sujata R Shetty, Prema R Kotian, Laxmi N Kotian, Sharada S Poojary, and Suma Poojary inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.

 
Kannada Sangh Santa Cruz social committee secretary Sharada S Poojary emphasized the significance of Kumkum religious celebration.
 
Speaking on the occasion, L V Amin said that the new generation will not go wayward if the elders instill cultural values in them.  “It will lead to a healthy society and national development,” he added.
 
Jayanti Ullal urged the women to participate in this kind of religious celebrations as one family, disregarding caste, creed, and religion.  “The empathy and financial assistance  to destitute and economically-weaker in the society will bring happiness,” she urged.
 
Laxmi N Kotian staged various entertainment programmes on the occasion. G D Suvarna, Chandrahas Kotian, G R Bangera, Shivaram Kotian, and Chandayya Poojary were present.
 
Over 200 women participated in the religious celebrations. Karnataka Sangh Santa Cruz honorary chief secretary Sujata R Shetty compered the programme.
