Mumbai: Billawar Community Mourns Untimely Demise of Shailaja Ravi Anchan

Mumbai, Mar 1: The condolence meet on the untimely demise of lawyer Shailaja Ravi Anchan, wife of Kannada litterateur Ravi Ra Anchan, was held at Swami Nityanand auditorium, Sion (West), on Tuesday February 28.

Sr Hyacinth, head sister, Canossa High School, Andheri (East), in her condolence message said that Shailaja was an influential head of the parent-teacher-student committee of their school and added that she would forever remain an inspiration to them.

Suru C Karkera said that Shailaja hails from a joint family of the Billava community who is a personification of service to society.

Lawyer Mahesh Kotian, Kannada litterateur Dr Sunita Shetty, and Narayan A Bangera Mitrapatna conveyed their condolence message stressing the human virtues of Shailaja.

Shailaja’s husband Ravi Ra Anchan, daughters Akshari and Aisiri Ra Anchan, Shailaja’s mother B Saraswati, family members Dr Savitri, Sachit K Shivanand, Dr Shreyas, Pratibha Rani, Rajiv Nivas, and Prakash Kanchan Kumar were present.

Office-bearers of Tulu–Kannadiga organizations including Billavar Jagruti Balaga president Suresh S Poojary, vice-president K Bhojaraj, honorary treasurer G D Karkera, Sharada S Karkera, Santoshi S Poojari, ‘Gurutu’ monthly bulletin honorary editor Babu Shiva Poojary, Purushottam S Kotian, Kripa Bhojaraj, Harish G Poojary, Professor Shiva Billava, Ravi B Anchan, Ramesh K Shetty Payyar, L V Amin, Dr Eshwar Alevoor, Dharmapal U Devadiga, Chandrashekar Palettady, lawyer Kadandale Parari Prakash L Shetty, Shimunje Parari, Sa Daya, Gopal Trasi, Kodu Bhoja Shetty, S K Sundar, Susheela Devadiga, Sumangala Shetty, Mitra Venkataraj, Sr Sinni, Shimantoor Chandrahas Suvarna, Shekar Amin, Sharada Anchan, Pandit Navinchandra Sanil, Mohan Marnad, lawyer Gunakar Shetty, Tonse Vijay Kumar Shetty, and Chandravati Devadiga were present on the occasion.
