One dead, 13 injured in Yemen mall fire

Marib, Feb 16: One person was killed and 13 others sustained injuries after a fire broke out at a shopping mall in the city of Marib, Yemen, on Sunday.

According to the state-run Saba News Agency, the blaze erupted shortly after midnight on Saturday and completely destroyed the mall. Nearby shops in the vicinity were also damaged in the incident.

The agency reported that the fatality and all injuries were caused by suffocation due to smoke inhalation.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of the fire.
