Iran warns of tit-for-tat strikes if US-Israel target infrastructure

Daijiworld Media Network - Tehran

Tehran, Mar 10: Iran has warned that it will respond with an “eye for an eye” if the United States and Israel continue to target its infrastructure amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Tehran would retaliate proportionately to any attacks on its facilities, warning that strikes on Iranian infrastructure would trigger similar attacks on the infrastructure of its adversaries.

The warning comes as tensions between Iran and the US-Israel alliance continue to escalate following a series of airstrikes and missile attacks across the region.

Iranian leaders have vowed that the country will determine the outcome of the conflict and have warned that continued strikes could lead to disruptions in regional energy supplies.

The conflict began after coordinated US and Israeli strikes targeted Iranian military and strategic facilities, prompting Tehran to launch retaliatory missile and drone attacks.

Analysts say the confrontation has already heightened security concerns across the Middle East and raised fears of disruption to global oil supplies and key shipping routes in the region.
