New Delhi, Mar 15: The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Sunday announced a revision in the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass for the financial year 2026–27.

According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the annual pass fee has been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 3,075. The revised rate will come into effect from April 1, 2026.

Officials said the revision has been carried out in accordance with the provisions of the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.

The FASTag Annual Pass, introduced to simplify toll payments for frequent highway users, has been gaining popularity among private vehicle owners. Currently, more than 56 lakh users are availing the facility across the country.

The pass is available for eligible non-commercial vehicles with a valid FASTag and can be used at around 1,150 toll plazas located on national highways and expressways nationwide.

Under the scheme, users can pay a one-time fee that allows them to cross toll plazas without frequent recharges. The pass remains valid for one year or up to 200 toll crossings, whichever comes earlier.

Once the payment is completed, the annual pass is activated on the vehicle’s existing FASTag within two hours.

Users can purchase or renew the pass through the Rajmarg Yatra App or through the official website of the National Highways Authority of India.

The FASTag Annual Pass was launched on Independence Day, August 15, 2025, and has since received a strong response from highway users. NHAI said the increasing adoption reflects the convenience and cost benefits it offers to people who frequently travel on national highways.
