New Delhi, Mar 16: Sahibzada Farhan of Pakistan national cricket team, Shadley van Schalkwyk of the United States national cricket team, and Will Jacks from the England national cricket team have been shortlisted for the ICC Player of the Month for February after standout performances during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026.
Farhan finished as the tournament’s leading run-scorer, delivering an exceptional batting display throughout the competition. The right-handed opener amassed 383 runs at a strike rate of 160.25, averaging 76.60, and broke the record for the most runs in a single edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup. In doing so, he surpassed the previous mark of 319 runs set by Virat Kohli during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2014.

The Pakistan batter also made history by becoming the first player to score two centuries in a single Men’s T20 World Cup edition, with his hundreds coming against Namibia national cricket team and Sri Lanka national cricket team. His prolific run-scoring helped Pakistan reach the Super 8 stage, although the team narrowly missed out on a place in the semi-finals.
For the United States, van Schalkwyk emerged as one of the tournament’s standout bowlers. The right-arm pacer claimed 13 wickets, placing him among the leading wicket-takers of the competition.
He made an immediate impact in the USA’s opening match against the India national cricket team, where he picked up four wickets. Van Schalkwyk produced another impressive spell of 4/25 against Pakistan in the group-stage match at Wankhede Stadium. Along with his wicket-taking ability, he maintained strong control, conceding runs at an economy rate of 7.76 per over.
Meanwhile, England’s Will Jacks played a key all-round role in his team’s journey to the semi-finals. He scored 194 runs at a strike rate of 173.21 and also took 11 wickets, maintaining an economy rate of just over eight runs per over.
Jacks also set a tournament record by becoming the first player to win four Player of the Match awards in a single Men’s T20 World Cup. His performances during the Super 8 stage, including matches against Sri Lanka and the New Zealand national cricket team, helped England top Group 2 and advance to the semi-finals.
