Mangaluru, Mar 19: The LPG-laden vessel Shivalik, which had passed through the war-affected Strait of Hormuz in West Asia and reached Mundra port in Gujarat on Monday, will not be arriving at the New Mangalore Port.
Sources at the New Mangalore Port stated, “There was information that around 20,000 tonnes of LPG from the Shivalik vessel would be unloaded at Mundra port and that the vessel, carrying around 26,000 tonnes of LPG, would arrive at the New Mangalore Port on Wednesday. However, the vessel will not be coming here.”

It is learnt from sources that part of the LPG onboard the Shivalik vessel has already been unloaded at Mundra port, while the remaining LPG is being discharged at the Dahej terminal in Gujarat.
Meanwhile, another vessel supplying LPG to HPCL is expected to reach the New Mangalore Port after the 20th of this month.
“An LPG supply vessel for our company is currently en route to Mangaluru. However, there is no confirmed information on how much LPG from the total cargo onboard will be unloaded here,” HPCL sources informed.
