Trump predicts US-Iran war could end in 4–8 weeks, leaves ground troop plans unclear

Daijiworld Media Network - Washington

Washington, Mar 21: US President Donald Trump has claimed that the ongoing war against Iran could be over within four to eight weeks, yet he has offered no clarity on whether American ground troops will be deployed on Iranian soil.

The conflict, which erupted on February 28, has prompted pressing questions about its likely duration, the nature of military operations, and the standards the US will use to declare victory. So far, the administration has refrained from providing definitive answers.

When pressed about the anticipated end date for “Operation Epic Fury,” the Trump administration indicated a timeframe of four to eight weeks.

In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump asserted, “The United States has made significant progress in weakening Iran’s military capabilities and damaging its nuclear weapons production capacity.”

However, a critical question remains unresolved: whether the US is prepared to deploy troops on Iranian territory. On this point, Trump has offered no clear position, leaving analysts and the public uncertain about the next phase of the conflict.
