Vizag, Mar 30: In a gruesome incident reported from Vizag city, a 35-year-old Naval employee allegedly murdered a 29-year-old woman at his residence, dismembered her body, destroyed some parts, and stored others in a refrigerator under the Gajuwaka police station limits at LV Nagar.

The crime came to light after the accused, identified as Ch Ravindra, surrendered before the police and confessed to the murder. Ravindra, a Navy technician, hails from Rajam in Vizianagaram district.

The deceased has been identified as Mounika, a resident of Vizag. Police said Ravindra, who is married, was reportedly in an illicit relationship with her. His wife had reportedly left for her hometown in Vizianagaram a few weeks ago, leaving him alone at the residence.

According to reports, Mounika visited Ravindra’s house on Sunday afternoon, March 29, after he called her. The two stayed together for several hours, but an argument reportedly broke out between them in the evening. In a fit of rage, Ravindra allegedly stabbed her to death and later dismembered the body.

He is said to have disposed of some body parts at an isolated location while storing the remaining parts in a refrigerator at his house.

Police officials stated that after committing the crime, Ravindra approached the police station, confessed, and surrendered. During the investigation, officers recovered some body parts from his residence. However, the head is still missing, and police suspect it was disposed of elsewhere.

A special team has been constituted to trace the missing body parts and further investigate the case.
