Dubai, Mar 6: Dr Kailkere Mohandas Bhandary of Mangalore has been selected as the President for the forthcoming international Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme to be held at Lotus Hotel, Dubai (UAE) from March 10 to March 12.
This international conference will be held concurrently with the alumni meet of Mysore Medical College (1967 batch), which Dr Bhandary was instrumental in organizing for the first time last year, followed by the overseas meet this year.
As many as 100 doctors, who are all classmates belonging to the 1967 Batch of Mysore Medical College, will converge from all over the world including India, USA, UK, Canada, Europe and Middle East to participate in the conclave.
Dr Kailkere Mohandas Bhandary is a senior family physician, IMA state vice-president and elected member of Karnataka Medical Council. He is also a former president of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Mangaluru Branch.
Dr B R Shetty, recepient of Padmashree and managing director of New Medical Centre Group, Abu Dhabi will be the Chief Guest for the conference. Dr Chandrakumari R Shetty, the Group medical director of NMC Healthcare, who is also an alumni member of MMC Batch of 1967 will deliver the keynote address.
The special Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme will deal with the latest modalities of treatment for disorders like Diabetes Mellitus, Blood Pressure, Cancer and other threatening diseases through lively discussions and presentations.
