Panaji, Mar 31: Arvind Kejriwal, national convener of the Aam Aadmi Party, arrived in Goa on Monday to campaign for his party’s candidate in the upcoming Ponda bypoll scheduled for April 9.

Party leaders said Kejriwal is set to meet seer Swami Brahmeshanand in Kundaim near Ponda and will also visit St Anne’s Church on Tuesday. He is expected to address a public meeting in Ponda on Wednesday.

Businessman Geetesh Naik is contesting the bypoll on an AAP ticket. He will face Ritesh Naik of the Bharatiya Janata Party, son of former agriculture minister Ravi Naik, whose death necessitated the by-election.

The Indian National Congress has fielded Dr Ketan Bhatikar for the seat.

The results of the bypoll will be declared on May 4.
