Mathura, Apr 11: A day after a tragic boat capsizing incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura district claimed at least 10 lives and left several injured, search and rescue operations are still underway to trace five missing devotees, police said on Saturday.
According to officials, the incident triggered a large-scale response involving the National Disaster Response Force, State Disaster Response Force, local police, fire services, divers, and boatmen working in coordination with district authorities.
Deputy Inspector General of Police (Agra Range) Shailesh Kumar Pandey said continuous efforts are being made to locate the missing individuals, adding that some of them are feared to have drowned.
