Mumbai: Billawar Association Office-Bearer Sujata V Kotian Passes Away

Mumbai, Mar 8: Thirty-eight-year-old Sujata V Kotian, convener of Billawar Association Goregaon local committee youth wing and executive president of Goregaon Karnataka Sangh youth wing, passed away following a cardiac arrest on Thursday March 8.

Sujata hailed from Moodbidri taluk of Dakshina Kannada district in Karnataka.  She was the wife of Mulky Vasudev Kotian and a talented artiste.  She was participating in a dance recital as part of ‘World Women’s Day’ celebrations organized by Billawar Association on Thursday morning when she collapsed at the venue.  She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors pronounced her dead.

Sujata is survived by her husband and a son.  Billawar Association president Jaya C Suvarna, honorary president Y Nagesh, vice-presidents L V Amin, M B Kukyan, Nityanand D Kotian and C T Salian, honorary chief secretary Jyoti K Suvarna, women’s wing president Jayanti V Ullal, deputy chairperson S Poojary, honorary secretary Laxmi N Kotian, Goregaon local committee president Jagannat V Kotian and office-bearers, Bharat Co-operative Bank (Mumbai) Limited chairman Vasudev R Kotian, and Goregaon Karnataka Sangh president G T Acharya condoled the sudden demise of Sujata.

Family sources informed that the last rites will be held in her hometown on Friday March 9.
