Tilamol, Apr 17: A 42-year-old woman died after being electrocuted in Tilamol village while attempting to pluck raw mangoes from a tree, sources said.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the woman was using an iron rod to remove mangoes. The rod accidentally came into contact with a live 11 KV high-tension power line passing close to the tree.

She suffered a severe electric shock and died on the spot.

The incident has raised concerns among local residents, who pointed out the dangerously close proximity of high-tension wires to residential and agricultural areas. They have urged the electricity department to take immediate steps to ensure safety and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
