Panaji, Apr 25: The Bombay High Court at Goa has granted interim medical bail to an accused arrested in connection with the seizure of over 23 kg of Ganja at Mopa Airport, allowing temporary release to undergo angioplasty.
The court granted relief on a personal bond of Rs 50,000 with sureties, subject to strict conditions, while directing the accused to submit hospital records relating to treatment.

The interim bail is limited to enable medical intervention, with the court reportedly restricting visitation to immediate family members during the period.
Among the conditions imposed, the accused has been directed to surrender within 15 days, deposit the passport and not leave Goa or travel outside India without prior permission of the court.
The court also barred the accused from contacting witnesses and directed full cooperation with investigators during the pendency of the case.
The matter relates to a narcotics case involving seizure of more than 23 kg of ganja at Mopa Airport, which remains under legal proceedings.
