Lucknow, Apr 27: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) secured a dramatic Super Over win against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 38 of the Indian Premier League at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on April 26.
Batting first, KKR posted a total of 155 runs. LSG matched the score with 155, pushing the contest into a Super Over. In the decider, LSG managed to score just one run, which KKR chased down comfortably to seal the victory.
After the match, KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane expressed satisfaction over the team’s performance, especially the late surge in their innings. He credited Rinku Singh for turning the game around with a crucial knock.

“Really happy with the victory, especially the way we played after those 16 overs. Rinku’s innings changed everything. Taking the game deep and then scoring in the final over gave us the momentum,” Rahane said during the post-match presentation.
Looking ahead, KKR will next face Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 3 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad in Match 45 of the tournament. While Hyderabad are currently placed in the top four, Kolkata will aim to continue their winning momentum and improve their position on the points table.
