West Bank, May 15: A group of Israeli settlers allegedly attacked rights activists during a tour near illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, amid rising tensions and violence in the region.
According to reports, the activists were documenting and raising awareness about alleged settler violence against Palestinians when the confrontation occurred.
Witnesses said the settlers assaulted several activists during the visit near settlement areas in the occupied territory.

Following the incident, Israeli security forces reportedly detained the activists instead of the settlers involved in the attack.
The arrests triggered criticism from rights groups, which accused Israeli authorities of targeting activists documenting violence and intimidation in the West Bank.
The occupied West Bank has witnessed increasing clashes involving Israeli settlers, Palestinian residents and activists in recent months amid heightened regional tensions linked to the ongoing Israel-Gaza conflict.
Human rights organisations have repeatedly raised concerns over attacks by extremist settlers and the expansion of Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territories, which are considered illegal under international law.
