Bantwal, Jun 4: A 10-year-old girl tragically succumbed to severe injuries following a collision between two two-wheelers at Soorikumeru in Vittal on the evening of Wednesday, June 3.
The deceased has been identified as Nairuthi M Suvarna, daughter of Hemanth Kumar, a resident of Balthila village.

The fatal accident occurred when Hemanth was returning home on his bike along with his wife and two daughters, including Nairuthi, after offering prayers at the Netla Sadashiva temple. As they reached near Soorikumeru, a scooter crashed into their bike.
The impact of the collision threw Nairuthi onto the concrete road, resulting in critical head injuries. She was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Thumbe. However, she failed to respond to the medical treatment and breathed her last around midnight.
Nairuthi was a talented student attending a local primary school. She was also an enthusiastic bhajan singer and was actively receiving training in it.
Bantwal traffic police sub-inspector Adarsh and his personnel visited the accident spot to conduct an inspection. A case has been registered at the Bantwal traffic police station in connection with the incident.
