Bengaluru, Jun 10: Bengaluru's young tennis sensation Srishti Kiran has become the world's No. 1 ranked Under-13 player after an impressive run on the international junior circuit.

The 13-year-old achieved the milestone following a remarkable streak of five consecutive ITF junior titles and a runner-up finish at the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J100 event in Guatemala.

Srishti has climbed to a career-best ITF junior ranking of No. 357, making her the highest-ranked Under-13 player in the world.

Her achievement is considered particularly significant as she reached the top of the Under-13 rankings despite competing in only eight ranking tournaments. The ITF junior rankings take into account a maximum of 10 events, meaning Srishti attained the feat with two fewer tournaments than the allowable limit.

The young Bengaluru player’s rapid rise has drawn attention in international junior tennis circles and underlines her growing reputation as one of India's most promising talents in the sport.

With consistent performances on the global stage, Srishti is expected to continue her progress in the junior circuit and strengthen her standing among the world's emerging tennis stars.
