Mangaluru, Jun 23: Carmel school CBSE celebrated International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and spirit on June 21st. The programme began with a warm welcome by the masters of ceremony and lighting of the lamp followed by a prayer service seeking peace, harmony, and well-being for all.

The programme began with a graceful welcome dance that created a cheerful atmosphere. The dignitaries, including Kavitha Ashok, chief guest, Sr Rosevera, principal, Sr Savitha, vice principal, teachers, and students, were accorded a warm welcome.

The significance of International Yoga Day was highlighted, emphasizing the role of yoga in promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, inner peace, and holistic development. A thought-provoking skit titled 'Yoga – A Way to a Balanced Life' effectively portrayed how yoga helps individuals overcome stress, gadget addiction, and the challenges of modern living.

The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the chief guest, principal, vice principal, teachers, students, and all those who contributed to the success of the programme.

The celebration successfully spread awareness about the benefits of yoga and inspired everyone to adopt yoga as a way of life for a healthier body, calmer mind, and happier future.
